TCM Jet Wash Drives; Block Paved Driveway Cleaning in Towcester, Northants April 16th 2024. The driveway needed to be cleaned as soon as possible, as the elderly lady of the house had slipped on the driveway and was stuck for a couple of hours until she was discovered by neighbours. The lady was taken into hospital and had a broken wrist and had damaged her elbow so badly it had to be replaced. Whilst in hospital one of the ladies neighbours said she would feed the ladies cats, sadly whilst walking up the drive, she too had a fall.
Apart from the fact that when a driveway is cleaned it is usually to make it more pleasing to the eye and to remove weeds and apply new sand between the joints, on many occasions driveways, paths and patios can become very slippery and therefore very dangerous.
What makes the driveway slippery can be a combination of moss, algae, white spot, black spot, lichen and weeds and then some wet weather and it can turn the driveway into a death trap and in the case of this driveway all were factors.
We set about cleaning the driveway and some paths around the side of the property and once it was clean and after we had cleaned up any splashes on the doors, windows, walls, fences etc we applied weed killer to the blocks and joints.
Two days later we returned to brush kiln dried sand into the joints. The gentleman of the house said he was so pleased, it looked like he had a new driveway, and most importantly, a safer one to walk on.
